Public Policy Positions

The Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce (GRCC) represents the interests of 350+ businesses employing over 10,000 employees in the Dulles Business Corridor, home to Virginia's largest concentration of technology companies. Members of GRCC represent the full spectrum of local, regional, national and international businesses from all industry segments, and in all stages of growth.

GRCC strongly believes the business community should be a stakeholder in any discussion and development of proposed, new or amended law, policy, regulation or other type of local, state or federal government-imposed rule that would impact the cost, operations or growth of business in Virginia. GRCC's Public Policy Committee meets monthly to review issues of importance to our constituency and updates this policy statement at least annually.

This Public Policy document provides a unified voice on issues that are most important to members. All Public Policy Position statements are approved by the GRCC Board of Directors prior to publication. Read the 2023 Position Statement here. Learn more below about our positions in collaboration with the Northern Virginia Chamber Partnership, Northern Virginia Transportation Coalition and Northern Virginia Back to Work Leadership Task Force.

Northern Virginia Chamber Partnership

The Northern Virginia Chamber Partnership is the region’s oldest and most respected Chamber-led business advocacy collaborative. This annual partnership of the Greater Reston, Dulles Regional, Loudoun County, Greater McLean and Tysons Regional Chambers of Commerce represents the interests of over 3,500 businesses and 120,000 employees. Each year, the Partnership identifies key, mutually shared positions to address with our local and state officials at the Virginia General Assembly. Read more.
