Dear Greater Reston Chamber members,
Your team at the Reston Chamber is looking ahead to a busy close to the summer season and are optimistic regarding the fall months ahead. Last month, our community entered Phase 3 of Virginia’s return to work. Since then, many of you have shared wonderful success stories. Business owners who are inventing new methods to meet and gain new clients. Companies that are becoming more comfortable in the strategic return of their workforce to the office. Community organizations that are bringing important programs and resources back online. There are still challenges that lie ahead, to be sure. Important questions that impact our personal and professional lives still need to be answered. But there is a momentum within our community to begin taking steps to get back to work in the most safe and responsible manner possible. The staff and I will continue to support that spirit with programs and events that bring value to your business operations.
August will be highlighted by our 8th Annual B2G Matchmaking Conference & Expo. This event, the largest government contracting-focused event of its kind outside of the Beltway, will be held virtually for the first time. The most powerful opportunity for contractors to connect with federal agency and prime procurement officers in one-to-one sessions. An incredible opportunity, as well, for businesses to engage with government contractors during the B2G Expo. Additionally, we are proud to announce that we will relaunch two important industry councils that have been on hiatus this year. Our Restaurant & Hospitality Council will reconvene on August 19 and will feature a brief presentation by Michael Delpierre of Conversion Pipeline regarding online marketing in the hospitality industry. The next day, August 20, we will relaunch the chamber’s Community Engagement Council, an initiative focused on highlighting the importance of our community’s nonprofit, trade and civic organizations.
We look forward to seeing at these or any of the other events scheduled this month. As always, please connect with the Chamber team to let us know how we can help. |
