Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce Announces 2023 INCspire BizMaker Grant Winners
GRCC CommunicationsMonday, August 21, 2023The INCspire Education Foundation, a 501c-3 subsidiary of the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce, is pleased to announce the recipients of its inaugural BizMaker Grant Program. INCspire congratulates the following organizations:
- The CORE Foundation and The Harraseeket Foundation have been awarded grants of $10,000 each
- Nordic-Knot and Reset180 have each been granted $5,000
Launched in 2021, the BizMaker Grant Program underscores INCspire's steadfast commitment to nurturing inclusive entrepreneurship and cultivating robust economic opportunities for businesses dedicated to driving job creation and revenue generation within Fairfax County. The selection process rigorously evaluated applications based on criteria such as product or service innovation, organizational stability, and demonstrable community impact. Notably, the chosen awardees will gain access to the prestigious INCspire Mentorship Program, a valuable resource that provides advisory sessions with seasoned professional service providers, aimed at addressing growth prospects.
Charles Kapur, President and CEO of the Greater Reston Chamber, reflects on INCspire's legacy of nurturing small business growth within Fairfax County, spanning more than two decades. "We have evolved our programs and services over the years to best meet the needs of our community," says Kapur. "The BizMaker Grant Program is the result of a powerful and productive collaboration between INCspire, The Greater Reston Chamber, our corporate sponsors, and our volunteers to bring valued resources to our innovative grant winners. This year’s applicant pool included many impressive organizations operating in a variety of industry sectors, including nonprofit, retail, medical, and professional services. They are a great representation of the diversity of businesses that create a prosperous economic environment in Fairfax County. INCspire, and the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce, proudly look forward to our role as a catalyst for entrepreneurship in our region."
It is noteworthy that all grant applicants will receive complimentary business solutions from the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, they will gain access to the expertise of local professional service providers, including Impact Business Solutions, LLC, KME.digital, and TeamLogic IT of Reston & Tysons, ensuring that they have access to resources that foster their continued success.
The BizMaker Grant Program has been made possible by the generous contributions of local business leaders who believe in our mission. We greatly appreciate our corporate sponsors, including Leidos, Reston Community Center, M&T Bank, and the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, for their commitment to empowering entrepreneurship and innovation in our region.
Since its establishment in 2000, INCspire has assumed a pivotal role within the region's dynamic business community, providing invaluable mentorship to over 130 enterprises that collectively have generated over $45 million in business value, secured a cumulative 100,000 square feet of commercial office space, and facilitated the creation of nearly 1,000 new jobs.
